Open Chess Tournament at Lions Club of Mulund

Great participation
Lions Club organized a open chess tournament on Sunday 8th January, 2012 at the Lions Club of Mulund. People from all over Maharashtra showed great love towards this game by participating in it. In all, there were 120 participants, with the youngest participant Master Balaji Krishna who was just 4 year old and the eldest was Mr. A.N.Iyer of the age 80.

The competitions consisted of nine rounds, and the game was of 40 minutes each. In all, 38 prizes were distributes in which the first 25 were awarded  cash prize and rest were given certificates. The prize distribution was done by Former Cricket International umpire Piloo Dara Reporter and former District Governor Mr.C.D Shah.

“We organize number of events every year, I am very happy seeing  the participation and the love towards sports among the crowd ” said Lion Pankaj Pratap Shah, the president of Lions Club Of Mulund.

The participants who bagged the 1st three places are as follows:

1st -  Miss Snehal Bhosle

2nd - Master Rakesh Kulkarni

3rd -  Master Vishvesh Kochrekar
