Day 4 Highlights

Welcome to the 4th day of the 58th National School Gymnastic Competition for under 14, under 17 and under 19 boys and girls conducted at Balewadi, Pune - Shri Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex. The main theme of today’s competition is Artistic Gymnastic where Maharashtra state stood 1st scoring the maximum number of points in all the competitions. Following are the Results for Artistic Gymnastic for today:

1. Under 14 Girls for Artistic Gymnastic: Maharashtra state secured 1st position scoring the maximum points 225.55 in total, West Bengal securing the 2nd position scoring 217.65 points in total and Uttar Pradesh scoring 199.60 points being the 3rd  best in this competition. 

2. Under 14 Boys for Artistic Gymnastic: Maharashtra state secured 1st position scoring 347.10 points, West Bengal scoring 325.15 points being the 2nd and 3rd position secured by Haryana scoring 296.85 points in total.

3. Under 17 Girls for Artistic Gymnastic: Maharashtra state secured 1st position scoring 215.60 points, West Bengal scoring 204.55 points being 2nd in position and Uttar Pradesh scoring 175.85 points securing 3rd position.   

4. Under 17 Boys for Artistic Gymnastic: Maharashtra state scored 342.40 points in total securing 1st position, West Bengal scoring 322.90 points being the 2nd in position and Uttar Pradesh scoring 313.75 points being the 3rd best in this competition.

5. Under 19 Girls for Artistic Gymnastic: Maharashtra state scoring 197.95 points secured 1st position, West Bengal scoring 192.90 points secured 2nd position and Punjab scored 150.00 points being the 3rd best in this competition. 

6. Under 19 Boys for Artistic Gymnastic: Maharashtra state secured the 1st position scoring 343.05 points, West Bengal scored 321.85 points securing the 2nd position and Uttar Pradesh scored 319.55 points securing the 3rd position for this competition. 

The best individual performance at Artistic Gymnastic given for boys and girls under 14, under 17 and under 19 are as follows:

1. Under 14 Girls: Marnal Bhogle scored 48.05 points being the 1st among all the participants and Shravani Vahge scoring 47.70 points being 2nd in position both representing Maharashtra state. Keem Puja being the 3rd best in this competition, representing from Uttar Pradesh scored 46.05 points.

2. Under 14 Boys: Omkar Shinde scored 71.55 points being the 1st among all the participants and Shray Faltonkar being the 2nd best scored 71.05 points both representing Maharashtra state. Agnivash Pandey scored 70.95 points being the 3rd best representing Uttar Pradesh.

3. Under 17 Girls: Swastika Ganguly representing West Bengal scored 46.30 points being the 1st among all the participants, Urvi Abhayankar from Maharashtra scored 44.85 points is 2nd and Anushree Vedpathak from Maharashtra scored 44.05 points is 3rd in position for this competition.

4. Under 17 Boys: Prem Patil being the 1st scored 71.25 points and Saif Tanboli scored 71.20 points being 2nd in position both representing Maharashtra state. Aarekh De from West Bengal scored 70.90 being the 3rd best in this competition. 

5. Under 19 Girls: Rucha Divekar from Maharashtra being the 1st scored 45.45 points, B. Aruna Reddy from Andra Pradesh scored 45.25 points being 2nd best and Katheki Gokhale from Maharsahtra scored 40.60 points being the 3rd best in this position.

6. Under 19 Boys: Mohammed Bobby from Uttar Pradesh scored 77.75 being the 1st in position, Abhijeet Kumar from VidyaBharathi scored 72.55 points being the 2nd in position and Jayendra Patil from Maharashtra scored 70.60 points is the 3rd best in position. 

Following are the points for Acrobatics Gymnastic, Men’s Pair and Women’s Pair:

Men’s Pair: Maharashtra scored 24.92 points being the 1st , Chandigrah scored 20.50 points being the 2nd and West Bengal scored 19.9 points being the 3rd position.

Women’s Pair: West Bengal scored 23.10 points being the 1st , Maharashtra scored 22.30 points being 2nd and Delhi scored 12.35 points being the 3rd best in position.

The Awards Ceremony was conducted today where the awards were distributed by dignitaries to the encourage the young athletes. Shri Pankaj Kumar (IAS Officer and Commissioner of Sports and Youth Affairs, Maharashtra State), Mr. Janak Tekale (Deputy Director, Directorate of Sports & Youth Services), Mr. Murthy (School Game Federation India Observer – SGFI) and Mr. Narendra Sopal (Joint Director of Sports and Youth, Affairs Maharashtra), Square Off Partner Mr. Sachin Girishkumar and Mr. Rajesh Gupta, Mr. Anand Vankashavar, Mr and Mrs Vengupta, Mr. Shinde (Bank of Maharashtra, Pune), Mr. Shirke, Mr. Sanjog Dhole, Mr. Suhas & Mr. Babulkar are some of the dignitaries who gave awards to the deserving athletes. The crowd was enthralled to hear the dignitaries speak during this opening ceremony.
