Day 2 Highlights

Second Day of the 58thNational School Gymnastics Competition at Balewadi, Pune was stormed byMaharashtra state's boys and girls under 19 in Gymnastics and RhythmicGymnastics. Maharashtra state should take pride by theamazing flexibility elements done by all the Under 19 girlsand achieving the top spot for all the competitions. Not onlyRhythmic Gymnastics for girls but also for Under 14, Under 17 and Under 19Gymnastics for boys and girls. Aditee Dandekar from Maharashtra scored thehighest in the history of Rhythmic Gymnastics National School Competition, Under14 girls by scoring 60.50 points in total performing on all the apparatus Hoop,Balls, Ribbons and Club. Even for Under 17 Gymnastics and Rhythmic Gymnastics,Maharashtra State has scored the top rank outperforming the other states.

An outstanding performancein Rhythmic Gymnastics done by Disha Nidre from Maharashtra state Under 17,scoring the maximum points for her team on all the apparatus Hoop, Ball,Ribbons and Club. Simran Redij and Jinita Katkar supported Disha Nidreto outdo other teams from different states. From all the competitionsconducted, girls from Mumbai, Maharashtra has been performing marvelously in all the competitions and has been appreciated by every on present. 

Result Summary: Under 14Girls Team Championship for Rhythmic Gymnastics 1st place goes to MaharashtraState for scoring a total of 143.05 points, 2nd place goes to Punjab forscoring a total of 91.10 points and 3rd place goes to Delhi for scoring a totalof 82.00 points. Under 19 Girls Team Championship for Rhythmic Gymnasticsbagged again the 1st place by scoring a total of 197.95 points, West Bengalsecured the 2nd position by scoring 192.90 points and the 3rd place is taken byPunjab scoring a total of 150.50 points. Rucha Divekar from Maharashtra stateaveraging 12.900, the best among all is ranked number 1st. B. ArunaReddy from Andhra Pradesh secured the 2nd rank by averaging 12.150 and PayalBhattacharjee from West Bengal secured the 3rd rank by averaging 11.300. 

Maharashtra state againscored the best in Team Championship for Gymnastics for Under 19 Boys 345.05points in total, Uttar Pradesh scored the 321.85 points in total securing 2ndposition and the 3rd position is taken by Haryana securing 319.55 points intotal.  Mohinder Bobby from Uttar Pradesh scored the best in gymnasticsfor Under 19 boys with 77.55 points, Abhijeet Kumar from VidyaBharathi scored the2nd best with 72.55 points, Jayander Patil from Maharashtra State scored70.60 points being the 3rd best at the competition. 

Maharashtra State should beproud of all the athletes for performing the best in all the competitionsand scoring 1st in all the competitions. Under 19 Girls scoring the best forMaharashtra state are Rucha Divekar, Tanaya Kulkarni, Sharayu Pol, AditiGandhi, Ketki Gokhale, Swati Suratwala, Devyani Tikle. Under 19 Boys scoringthe best for Maharashtra state are Fulchand Karad, Jayendra Patil, ShantamLone, Vijay Ingle, Omkar Purav, Vaibhav Shah, Hriday Prajapati.
